DJ GQ is one of the first DJs to pioneer the infectious blends of Reggae and Hip-Hop. From being a sponsored DJ since the age of 14, DJ GQ has gone on to be the official DJ for Kevin Lyttle, Pee Wee Kirkland, Mr. Cheeks, Akon, Mr. Vegas, and more. Praises for his over 300k distributed "GQ" mixtapes have graced publications such as USA Today, OkayPlayer.com, The New Times and The Source Magazine. With all the titles mentioned, he still manages to be the "King of Clubs" with local DJ residencies several days out of the week, as well as DJ spot dates around the world for clients such as Myspace.com, NASDAQ and the DUB Custom Car Shows. Currently he is completing, “Let ’Em Know- The Albumâ€, which is due to be released worldwide in spring 2008.Â
DJ GQ’s delivery comprises of a halting, ragga-inspired style with smooth blends, inventiveness and showmanship. Beyond his skill on the turntables, his integrity is a key factor that will continue to grow and keep his name in the minds of the music industry. He has completed 19 successful volumes of his mixtape series, “Let ’Em Knowâ€, hosted by artists such as Birdman (CEO of Cash Money), Mr. Cheeks, Styles P, Kevin Lyttle, Mr. Vegas and more, including the only official mixtape hosting by AKON. Other DJs such as Whoo Kid have also featured some of DJ GQ’s exclusive remixes on their own mixtapes. DJ GQ’s mixtapes incorporate more than just current music and an exclusive list of tracks. They must carry a vibe throughout the entire CD, no matter what the tempo. His craft to tailor a mix with such precise measures and understanding of music has now lead DJ GQ to prep up for the release of “Let ‘Em Know- The Album.â€Â
